BCWBS had a great turn out to our annual Junior Wheelchair Basketball camp at Douglas College in New Westminster, BC on Aug 4-5.
We had 20 Athletes from across the province, come together for the long weekend to learn some Wheelchair basketball skills. The camp has a variety of age ranges and covered the basics of Wheelchair Basketball. Campers were put into drills to develop Passing, Dribble, Shooting and Wheelchair skills in order to better prepare them for the sport. The weekend turned out to be a great success with a lot of sweaty brows and big smiles.
BCWBS was also happy to involve local coaches into the camp and cross it with a coaching tutorial. The coaches were also given valuable info to use during the camp and for their upcoming season. Special thanks goes out to the campers and coaches that worked hard and spent their vacation time to work with us.
