Don’t Miss our annual Junior Challenge. This event is open to all junior aged participants, all skill levels and abilities. The weekend also features a Let’s Play division for younger children.
In partnership with our regional clubs, we provide on and off court training, strength & conditioning , as well as, tournament play to older juniors as part of our LTAD pathway.
Our BCWBS team of nationally certified coaches work to develop this next generation of high performance athletes for events like the BC-WBL, BC Games and Canada Games.
Some of our identified junior athletes will also be introduced to higher performance aspects of the game and will begin to refine all technical aspects and most tactical components.

Program Objective
To provide opportunities for students in B.C. to earn elective credits towards high school graduation by successfully reaching a standard of sport excellence as an athlete, coach, or official.
Program Description
The Ministry of Education and Child Care partners with both the Sport Branch of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Sport and viaSport to manage the External Sport Credentials Program (ESCP). Students can get graduation credits by completing approved Athlete, Coach, or Official programs. Since 2009, over 31,000 students have participated in the ESCP.
Student
Students who intend to use the ESCP to earn credit towards graduation should remember the following:
External Sport Credentials are elective credits and cannot be used to substitute for required courses such as Physical Health and Education 10.
You must meet minimum standards as an Athlete, Coach or Official.
Credits Available for Wheelchair Basketball
Athlete Level 1 UXSA 10 (4 credits)
BC Winter Games
Athlete Level 2 UXSA 11 (4 credits)
Junior West Regional Championship
Athlete Level 3 UXSA 12 (4 credits)
Canada Winter Games, Junior Nationals, or Senior Nationals.
