From hosting a national tournament, to running a Provincial League, to sending teams to BC Games and Junior Nationals, to hosting a record breaking fundraising corporate challenge event, Hoopfest 2018, and facilitating weekly drop-in grass roots programs, 2017/18 was a busy year for all of our wheelchair basketball athletes and teams throughout the province.
With facility partnerships at Britannia Community Centre and Richmond Oval, we were able to host bi-monthly Bridging the Gap introductory Have-a-Go and drop-in programs with other drop-in nights happening regularly at UBC, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Fraser Valley, Prince George and in many more of our other regional clubs. Please look for new dates for the fall to be announced in the coming weeks.
Our school and community programs continued to be widely popular with our staff and athletes attending over 40 school visits, delivering programming to over 10,000 students and community members this year. Don't miss out on bringing wheelchair basketball to your school or community. Contact us today to book for 2018/19.

Congratulations to all of our local athletes, clubs, and teams for hosting successful events to help bring the inclusive sport of wheelchair basketball to so many more participants.
In 2018/19 look for additional GIRLS ONLY and Let’s Play events where we will partner with some other amazing sports to give you an opportunity to learn wheelchair basketball, and other fun inclusive sports. Also, Team BC will be heading to Red Deer, Alberta for the 2019 Canada Winter Games which will bring teams in from across the country to compete in 19 different sports.
