BC Wheelchair Basketball Society announces Team BC Roster for Junior West Championships
March 11, 2024 (Vancouver B.C.) BC Wheelchair Basketball Society is excited to announce the roster of B.C. athletes and team staff headed to Regina, Sask, for the 2024 Junior West Wheelchair Basketball Championship.
The Junior West Championship will take place from March 15-17, 2024, at the REAL District. The tournament will feature the top junior-aged athletes in Western Canada from Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, andSaskatchewan.
“With Team B.C. having won the historicalgold medal at the Canada Winter Games in 2023, there is great momentum as we start the next four (4) year cycle,” states Kevin MacEachern, Coach and BCWBS Board of Director. “Having just returned from the beautiful town of Lhtako Quesnel for the BC Winter Games, and seeing all the talented athletes battle it out on the court, the future of Wheelchair Basketball in B.C. looks bright.”

The 3-on-3 tournament will feature the top U-24 athletes in Western Canada as provinces prepare to compete at the 2027 Canada WinterGames in Quebec City, Que. This inclusive tournament will feature athletes with and without mobility disabilities competing together.
