Don't just take our word for how awesome this opportunity is. Check out what Mandy Gallant, Sport Chair for Wheelchair Basketball at the 2020 BC Games in Fort St. John has to say about the experience.
My name is Mandy Gallant , and I had the opportunity to be the Sports Chair for Wheelchair Basketball for the 2020 Winter Games in Fort St. John . It was one of those 'once in a lifetime opportunities' to work along side the Winter Games Society and the BC Wheelchair Basketball Commitee. They were always there to help in anyway they could to ensure the Games went off without a hitch. It was so much fun and rewarding to meet so many athletes and their families from all around BC , and to hear their stories of why they chose Wheelchair Basketball. The energy inside our gym was through the roof. It was amazing to be center court watching those athletes battle, all for the game they love. The bruises, the aches and pains, the crashes , they never gave up. Those kids/athletes were inspirations to so many new and upcoming athletes for their courage on and off the court . I will forever cherish my experience at the 2020 BC Winter Games . Thanks for choosing me and my family for being part of something we will never forget.
