2018 CWBL National Championship BC Royals Announcement.
The 2018 CWBL National Championship tournament is scheduled for later this week at the Martensville Athletic Pavilion, Saskatoon, Sask. The CWBL features wheelchair basketball club teams from across Canada and culminates each season with a national championship. The league is fully integrated welcoming athletes with a disability as well as able-bodied athletes to play in the spirit of competition.
The BC Royals features some of the province’s best wheelchair basketball players, including past, present and future members of Team Canada. Chilliwack’s Ben Hagkull, recently invited to centralize with Team Canada, will be the youngest member of the BC Royals playing in Saskatchewan. He is joining team-mate mentors like current National Team athlete Bo Hedges and retired Paralympic Gold Medalist Richard Peter, for this weekends’ event.
