BC Wheelchair Basketball Society and Chilliwack Wheelchair Sports Club are grateful for the support of the Chilliwack Foundation. Thanks to the Chilliwack Foundation’s generous sponsorship, our organization will be able to purchase two sports wheelchairs, which will be used in the club’s wheelchair basketball program and in school demos around the area.
“These two sports wheelchairs will allow more people with disabilities in the Chilliwack area gain strength, independence and confidence through wheelchair sports,” said BC Wheelchair Basketball Society Executive Director Sian Blyth. “The wheelchairs will also be used in our schools program, which will help to educate the next generation of Chilliwack children about the abilities of people with disabilities.”
The Chilliwack Foundation is a non-profit organization that has served as a trustee of funds left in its care by public-spirited citizens in the Chilliwack area ever since its creation in 1985.
