We are proud to announce the new team in the BCWBS office.
Sian Blyth who was been acting as Executive Director while Carrie Linegar was on Maternity leave will now be staying on permanently in this positon. We are delighted to welcome Carrie back in a new role as our Special Projects Manager. Carrie will be working 1 day a week helping us to further develop the Let’s Play program.
Makiko Harada will be stepping into a new role as the Manager of Program Development, focusing more on developing our programs and our future growth. We are excited to have Nadine Barbisan join us permanently as our Program Coordinator; Nadine had been working on our Let’s Play program and Schools program and now takes on the additional duties of Program Coordinator.
Marni Abbott-Peter is now High Performance Director, which still includes her role as our Provincial Coach, but also encompasses greater responsibilities in fostering development of wheelchair basketball across the province. Marni will continue to manage the Lets Play program.
Simon Cass remains in his role as Regional High Performance & Development Coach. Arley McNeney continues as our amazing Communications Manager!
Finally we are extremely fortunate to have three additional staff part time funded through the Neil Squire Working Together program:
Chris Cruthers as Communications Coordinator ( shared with BCWSA)
Tristan Smith, (Regional Coordinator for the Interior also shared with BCWSA) who is assisting the clubs in that region with development, and Amanda Yan who will be working on club development in the Lower Mainland.
