For nearly 30 years, BC Wheelchair Sports Junior Sport Camps have helped kids build skills, gain independence, make friends, and create memories. This year, we’ve partnered with KidSport to help cover registration fees for juniors looking to attend any of our junior camps (for all campers) and provide travel subsidies (for regional campers). Junior Wheelchair Multi-Sport Camp
This multi-sport wheelchair sport camp is geared towards kids 11+, and offers a variety of fun sports including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair athletics, wheelchair tennis, tag games, sledge hockey, and other fun surprises including a pizza party! Campers will have the chance to play alongside our Junior Leaders who have participated in these sports from a local level to the international stage. Siblings and friends are more than welcome to register as well! The last two days of the camp will be specifically a wheelchair basketball camp. A nurse will be in attendance for the multi-sport sessions.

Cost: $125 or $30 per day
Accommodation: A room block has been set aside at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites (17530 64th Ave, Surrey) across from Cloverdale Recreation Center. Rooms contain two queen beds at $115/night for the whole camp or $128/night for a shorter stay. This room block will be released by August 4th so if you require a hotel room, you must contact Lisa prior to that deadline.

Junior Wheelchair Tennis Camp
BCWSA is hosting its first ever Junior Wheelchair Tennis Camp. This camp is available to both newcomers and experienced athletes looking for some cross training. Anyone under 18 is eligible! Doesn’t matter if the participant is in a wheelchair or power chair. The camp will feature Paralympians Kai Schrameyer and Sarah Hunter as coaching staff. They’ll be leading participants through a wide range of fun drills, activities, and match play. All abilities are welcome and participants will be divided based on skill level over three courts. Siblings and friends are more than welcome to register as well! Participants will have the unique opportunity to watch some of the top rugby nations practice on adjacent fields during their lunch hour as Burnaby is playing host to the Pacific Nations Cup.
