The BC Wheelchair Basketball Society has a long history steeped in the glory of its founders, athletes and coaches, and Marni 'Moose' Abbott-Peter embodies all the things that the BCWBS holds dear: hard work, commitment, and a dedication to the sport that is unequalled. This past weekend, Marni returned to the courts in Saskatoon after a three year absence to complete her collection of championships with the only one that had eluded her: a CWBL Women's Club National Championship.

The Wheelchair Basketball Canada (WBC) and BC Wheelchair Basketball Society (BCWBS) are pleased to be hosting the 2009 Americas Cup, a Men’s America Zone qualification tournament for World Championships in 2010 (Birmingham, England), from August 23 – 30, 2009 at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

This summary is meant to introduce the main changes to the 2008 IWBF Official Rule Book which are valid immediately.
This coming weekend will see the second hit out for the division II teams for this season. It will have been five weeks since the last round of division II games which saw Victoria and Breakers at the top of the table, so this weekend’s game look set to be hotly contested.
On March 19 and 20th, Kelowna held it's 3rd annual Jamboree! This year we had 44 athletes plus coaches and fans attend from Vancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna, Calgary, and Spokane which was a new addition this year!
Registration is now open for the Langley Junior Program. The program is open to junior players ages 8 and up. Both able-bodied children and children with disabilities are welcome, and no experience is necessary. For a quality sport experience, the ability to follow instructions, good upper-body mobility and the ability to use a manual wheelchair are required.
