Canada Games Team Wraps Up Their Season

March 11, 2011

This year’s BC Provincial Junior team finished up their competitive season this past weekend with a sixth place finish at the BC-CWBL Division Two Finals. This finish followed closely on the heels of a great seventh place finish at the Canada Winter Games in Halifax in February.

The dedication of these athletes over the season was tremendous, and BCWBS would like to thank them, their parents and families for the support that made the year the success that it was. The team would also like to thank all the athletes in Division II who helped prepare them for the tournament in Halifax. Coach Corrigan would like to thank BCWBS, Carrie Linegar, Team BC mission staffs and her fine coaching staff of Ross MacDonald and Makiko Harada for all their hard work and dedication to the team.

All junior athletes should look forward to the next Canada Games in Prince George in 2015. Seven out of twelve players from this year's Team BC including Prince George native Avril Harris are eligible to play in 2015. Having seen their great improvement of each athletes this past year, we are confident to bring an even stronger team! Watch the website for upcoming junior events and camps.
