The 2012 Tim Frick City League winter session wrapped up on Tuesday, March 6 at the Douglas College Campus in New Westminster.
After eight fun filled weeks of skill development, drills and league games; twenty four participants had the honour and the rare opportunity to be coached by the legendary Tim Frick. The former head coach for the national women's wheelchair basketball program, Frick couldn't resist the opportunity to share his wisdom and love for the sport.
"This is phenomenal!" said Frick impressed at the enthuiasium. "It is exciting to see the skill level and the energy of participants". Without missing a 'push', coach Frick had city leaguers, young and old engaged in a variety of innovative and fun games which made him legendary within his illustrious coaching career. At the end of the evening, it was evident everyone enjoyed their night with coach Frick.
"This was definitely a special night for all of us. Having Tim involved on the final night was a real treat." said League Coordinator, Brian McLennon.
