Last weekend (Oct 29 & 30) saw 27 athletes came from across the province to our High Performance Camp held at Douglas College in New Westminster and Trinity Western University in Langley.
Here is a report from Kevin Bowie, our Leadership Group athlete.

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your dedication and commitment at the first performance camp of the year!! As a leadership group we saw some fantastic basketball being played this weekend. We saw veteran players step up and lead, while developing players continued to get stronger and rookies raised the level of their game and learnt new skills.
One of the highlights of the weekend was the pace and execution of drills. Running drills like 11 man break and defensive shadow require focus and pace to make them game like. You all did a fantastic job of maintaining work ethic, taking direction and encouraging each other.
Last but not least, thank you to all the coaches who helped each athlete to succeed this weekend, special thanks goes out Jerry Tonello, the men's national team head coach, for making the trip out BC! It’s always great to have another perspective at practice, learn some new drills and introduce the new faces around BC to Wheelchair Basketball Canada. Thanks also to Arley, Milan, and Peter for their encouragement and sharing their basketball knowledge to the developing athletes. Thank you to Joe and Marni for continuing to bring so much to the BC program and Maki for all the setup behind the scenes.
See you at practice!
