Two teams participated in the 2010-11 BC-CWBL Season - the Douglas College Royals lead by Coach Cheryl Corrigan and the Douglas College Lions headed up by Coach Joe Higgins. After a great season of play, where all games counted in the standings for the season, the Douglas College Lions took the top spot in Division 1 and will enter the 2011 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League Finals as the No. 1 seed.
The final game proved to be the best of the season where at the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 38-36 for the Lions. In an all out intense battle in the 4th the Lions proved they were too strong for their competition ending the game 62 - 51 lead by the consistent and dominant scoring of tournament MVP Ross MacDonald (24 points) and All-star Bo Hedges (16 points).
Check out the action and cheer on both of our Douglas College teams April 8 - 10th at the South Surrey Recreation Centre as we strive to be crowned Canadian Club champs for the 4th year in a row!
