(Ottawa, ON) Wheelchair Basketball Canada is pleased to officially announce that Parasports Québec will host the 2013 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Open Championship from April 12-14, 2013 in Montreal, QC.
“We are pleased to award the 2013 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League Open Finals to Parasports Québec,” said Wheelchair Basketball Canada Executive Director Wendy Gittens. “We have tremendous confidence in their passion and commitment to make this tournament a resounding success and welcome the top club teams in Canada to Montreal.”
The tournament will feature elite players from across Canada, including past, present, and future members of the Canadian National Team Program. Spectators will have the opportunity to witness the showcase of skill and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball one of the premiere draws at the Paralympic Summer Games.
The CWBL Open Championship takes place annually every April when the top competitive club teams in the country compete for the national title.
