At noon on Wednesday May 19, the draw for WestJet Raffle tickets was completed. The lucky winner was Richard (Bear) Peter who is a long time BC provincial and Canadian national team player and also a Sport BC Hall of Fame inductee. This win follows his provincial team’s 5 consecutive wins at nationals. What could be better than this??
The WestJet donated the two return tickets to any WestJet destination for our annual fundraising event Hoopfest. Not only the BCWBS members but also many of other people within or outside of the community bought the tickets hoping to be a lucky winner. We have been able to raise $1,620!
We would like to thank everyone who bought the tickets to support BC Wheelchair Basketball.
